A very select group met up for dinner at The Elizabethan at Luton the other evening and obviously had a fantastic time!

Didn't we have a lovely time ?

We had a lovely time yesterday when a large group of us visited Otter Nurseries, Honiton and the Lace Museum. The sun shone all day and it was HOT! Still we managed to find various places to cool down and have coffee and lunch. It was great to welcome members of other WIs ( Dawlish and Bishopsteignton) on the trip and we all agreed we must do more combined activities in the future.
Otter Nurseries was a great shopping opportunity and we were specially tempted by the bargains in the plants, pots and garden furniture. On to Honiton we had the opportunity to look around the market and the shops and have a lovely relaxed lunch. The Lace Museum was absolutely amazing and Pat Perryman gave us a demonstration and then talked to us about some of the exhibits. This piece of lace was so beautiful with spider webs (with spiders in them), leaves, moons, stars, birds - absolutely beautiful. See http://www.honitonmuseum.co.uk

I was sorry to miss the Ploughman's Lunch on 27th May but everyone who attended seems to have had a great time - even the workers!
