Sugar Roses and Cupcakes

Carole's Cupcakes Workshop

On Wednesday 11th May a group of 13 WI ladies went along to Carole's Cupckes in Teignmouth, for a sugarcraft workshop. Carole was very patient and we all made roses out of sugar paste decorate our cupcakes (made earlier by Carole) some were more successful than others but everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves and requested a return visit.

Annual General Meeting May 2016

This months meeting was the annual general meeting, despite this it was very well attended by 60 of our members. Our group advisor Cynthia was on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly and to offer advice where needed. Cynthia also was kind enough to judge this months competition which was a folded linen napkin.
The new committee was elected and a new president also elected. Everybody was very sad that Maureen Hunter is stepping down after 7 years as a committee member and a marvellous tenure as President.

Theatre Visit

Ice Factory Teignmouth, Theatre Visit.

Several WI ladies and a guests saw My Mother Said I Never Should at The Ice Factory Teignmouth. The play was expertly directed by Jessica Hunter, who is Teignmouth WI's Presidents daughter. The overall consensus was that it was very enjoyable with some poignant moments and lots of laughs. The ice cream was delicious too.

Trade Winds evening out

Evening Dinner At Trade Winds Teignmouth

Another very pleasant evening spent socialising and enjoying the good food at the  Trade Winds Restaurant, Teignmouth. It was attended by 13 WI members plus 2 guests.  Pleased to see Janet Williams attended and that she is feeling a lot better.
Thanks to Carole Wood for photos and write up.
