Flower Festival

The Flower Festival at St Michael's Church, Teignmouth is on from the 24th to the 29th June - you should go along to see the beautiful floral displays, including Teignmouth WI's.

The theme is "From Quill to Tablet" and our display shows how cookery has changed over time in terms of the utensils used.

LUNCH AT THE VINEYARD

A group of us had a very pleasant lunch at The Vineyard, Bishopsteignton today.  It was such a beautiful day and the countryside looked its very best.

Good food and excellent company - see photos - thanks to Carole for bringing a camera - some of us forgot ours!

WEIRD WONDERFUL WEATHER

Last  night we had a very interesting and informative talk on The Work of the Met Office from Karen Dutton.  We learnt a lot about the history of the Met Office and the wide range of services it provides.
Afterwards, there were lots of questions and Karen was rather mobbed in the tea break!

Our competition to bring in a photo of Weird, Wonderful Weather was well supported and Karen judged it.  The first prize was won by Norma Woodward with a lovely cloud formation photo.
