A small group of our WI members, including our new President, Pam Webb, attended an enjoyable dinner from the extensive menu at the Royal China Restaurant, Newton Abbot on the 22nd June.

Teign Heartbeat- Defibs in the Community

One of our own members, Shirley Brokenshaw, gave our talk this month. Everybody found it very interesting and informative. Shirley explained that her charity raises funds to provide defibrillators in the local community that are accessible 24 hours a day. 2 people in Teignmouth would have died last year if the Defibs were not available. Shirley gave members free books and sold beautiful cards.
The competition was a decorated heart, see photos below.

“The WI Ploughmans Lunch was held on the 24th May 2016 and was very well attended and enjoyed by all.  Many thanks to the committee members and volunteers for all the hard work they put in preparing the excellent food and delightful desserts.  Thank you also to Sandra for taking the photographs.”
