This afternoon at Craft Club we enjoyed an excellent workshop on Zen Tangle which was something a bit different.
Our attempts weren't quite as good as this but everyone had a go with some excellent results.
A BIG Thank you to Shirley for introducing us to this new craft.

Lunch at Powderham
A group of us enjoyed a delicious lunch at Powderham Orangery today - excellent food and conversation on a rainy day!
The food was so good we decided we had to share it with you!
And don't forget the pudding!
We get together for a monthly meal - alternating an evening meal and lunch . Come along and join us in January !

The Bee's Knees
Last night's talk about Bees and their importance to the environment was full of interesting facts and information. I'm sure we all learned a lot about the different kinds of bees and their complex and fascinating lives.
Liz also brought along her range of Bee goods - honey, honey fudge (yum!), soaps, balms, creams and lots of ideas for Christmas presents.
The competition was to create a handcrafted bee brooch and there were some great entries.
It was a really enjoyable evening which made it worthwhile having come out in the wind and the rain!

All About Honeybees
Looking forward to hearing Liz Westcott from Brixham talk about the importance of bees in the environment at our November meeting on Tuesday 11th at 7.30pm
Liz is also bringing some of her Products of the Hive to sell at the meeting - these include a variety of things made with either honey or beeswax.
If you would like to know more about the products for sale, have a look at Liz's website:

Don't forget the competition which Liz has kindly agreed to judge - a handcrafted bee brooch
