Last night we enjoyed a really fun evening with Clair Jackson of http://www.clairjackson.co.uk
It was a very friendly, informal evening with Clair answering our questions and dealing with our make-up problems followed by a demonstration on one of us highlighting some of the points we had been talking about.
Clair is obviously a very talented lady and it was great to have no sales pitch for any particular range of products, just useful specific information. I think we were all inspired to try her suggestions. An interesting and informative evening.
Thanks to everyone who helped last night, especially our tea/coffee ladies and Sonia who washed up ……. again!

Spring Meeting
Last night's talk from Jill Fade was absolutely fascinating on how to crystallise Edible Flowers. Jill told us a bit about herself and how she came to set up her business Meadowsweet Flowers.
She then demonstrated exactly how to crystallise a flower which she made look very easy!
She then went through which flowers can and can't be used and showed us applications for using the finished flowers.
A most instructive and interesting talk so a big Thank you to Jill.
Our competition last night was "A posy of spring flowers" and the competition table looked so fresh and smelled so sweet that it felt like Spring had actually arrived!
Winners of the competition were Frances, Pam and Mary but I think it was a difficult choice!
