Talk to the Animals

Last night we enjoyed a talk from Neil Vaughan from Shaldon Zoo.  Neil outlined the important work of the Zoo and its breeding programmes which have led to the conservation of endangered lemurs, tamarins and marmosets.

Neil also brought along some of his animals to show us how cuddly a spider can be and how interesting  reptiles are.  He allowed us to touch and stroke the animals which was a real privilege and a new experience for a lot of us.

If you would like to know more about Shaldon Zoo and its work, check out its website

Thank you Neil for a very entertaining evening with a difference!
